While living in Arizona for several years, Peter studied with an Indigenous American teacher. During that process, he had a transformative, nature connected spiritual experience. This inspired him to begin leading ecospiritual trips and immersive experiences when he returned to Maine in 1999. Over the past twenty five years, these have ranged from workshops at conferences and addiction recovery retreats around New England, to multi-day trips to locations like the North Maine Woods and Acadia National Park. He is a Registered Maine
Guide and has spent a large portion of his adult life outdoors.
A Zen Buddhist priest and teacher in the White Plum lineage, Peter is the guiding teacher for the Wild Fox sangha. Today he is engaged in a process of transforming Zen practice to stay highly relevant to the
needs of a world in chaos, where humans are struggling to stay grounded and to chart a path to sustainable survival.
Peter has been in the field of addiction treatment for over twenty-five years. He has a masters degree in Counseling Psychology and is a licensed alcohol and drug
counselor and certified clinical supervisor. Today he still works part time in the addiction treatment field, simultaneously devoting his attention to advancing
ecospirituality and ecospirituality-based addiction recovery, through the Path of the Wild Heart.
He is the author of Wild Mind, Wild Heart: Discover your true self in nature.
My name is Robert “NashuWa” Phillips, 1/4 Passamaquoddy by way of my mother. I have lived my entire life as a Precognitive & Emotional Empath. “NashuWa” pronounced (Nah-Shoo-Wah) is my Given Name by tribal elders many years ago. My early background entails that of a nature survivalist to that of a nature preservationist over the years. My life practices and offerings to those in need have included Japanese Shinrin-Yoku, Eco-Therapy, Sensory Code Healing, Transcendental Meditation, Tai Chi and my absolute favorite; Equine Therapy.
My purpose is to share the many spiritual and physiological healing gifts that our forests have to offer. Those with open intentions seeking an intimate relationship with this "more than human world" are often transcended to places never before imagined. My role as “guide” is to simply guide, allowing the individual to discover reciprocity within the Forest. Your greatest reward is a “Life Practice” allowing you to become "One with Nature".
We Are ALL One…
